Useless things men do

Why is it that when the house is T-R-A-S-H-E-D, the man of the house always wants to do something productive such as clean the basement (insert shed or garage, if appropriate).

D: I think I'll go down and clean the basement.

Perhaps it would be a little more helpful to carry the 37 tons of clean laundry upstair or to hold He-Who-Cries-Incessantly-If-He-Is-Not-Held-When-He-Wants-To-Be-Held so that I can get one thing, just ONE thing done.

Perhaps you could block the stairs with the laundry. Blocking entry.

Or, you could put the baby carrier on his back. Does he like the baby carrier? Maybe a good idea. Not sure.

BTW, nice links.

That baby carrier is a good idea!!!

I know, for some strange reason, The Peanut King always gets this burst of energy "after" I get done with a major project. Like, if I finish cleaning the bathroom (which, trust me...is a major project) and just sit down for a few minutes, he'll want to clean the garage. So we start that, but then he finds some tool or trinket to mess with and suddenly, he's gone, leaving me with a garage full of crap.

Marelle--baby carrier is too hot when the house is 80 DEGREES still. Maybe when we part with the 4 grand and get a new one.

PQ--it's a trip--watch for the signs

Blue--he still needs a beating, escape or not

Jen--maybe I should block the bathroom with the laundry. If he wants to go, he'll have to move it

Katya--he's PANTS about cleaning.
how's that?

Christina--tell us how the Blue Wiggle looks when viewed through Vicodin eyes

Yeah, well my husband just tells me the laundry and/or crying children are my job. Unfortunately for him he is on the NO ACCESS list until he changes his tune. Come on, say it with me...ACCESS DENIED.
Care to fold some socks, hun??
MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Laura, that is too funny. I'm just not quite sure I am willing to lose my own access for his poor behavior. I'm thinking about maybe hiding his XBox controller...
